CLAYBOARD

This is an interesting surface I tried out some time ago.

It is a baked clay surface set on a hardboard backing and takes a range of media.  

The panels I obtained are small ( 5 inches x 7 inches) and the surfaces will take watercolour as well as ink, pastel  and acrylic.   The idea didn’t take off in the UK and I have never seen the panels on sale since.
